Audrey Murphy Recognized by NJBIZ as one of New Jerseys 2015 Best 50 Women in Business

Audrey Murphy, Esq., RN, executive vice president and chief legal officer at HackensackUMC, has been recognized by NJBIZ magazine as one of New Jersey’s 2015 Best 50 Women in Business.
Hackensack University Medical Center is pleased to announce that Audrey Murphy, Esq., RN, executive vice president and chief legal officer at HackensackUMC, has been recognizedbyNJBIZ magazine as one of New Jersey’s 2015 Best 50 Women in Business.Honorees were recognized at an awards dinner at The Palace at Somerset Park on Monday, March 23.
The awards program honors dynamic women in business making headlines in their field. An independent panel of judges selected the top 50 winners based on their dedication to business growth, professional and personal accomplishments, community involvement, and advocacy for women.
“I want to extend my congratulations on this well-deserved award,” said Robert C. Garrett, president and chief executive officer of the Hackensack University Health Network. “We are proud to have such a distinguished and knowledgeable leader as part of our team.”
As executive vice president and chief legal officer of HackensackUMC, Ms. Murphy employs dual expertise as an attorney and as a nurse. This unique combination has afforded her the ability to view high-level strategic operations within the Hackensack University Health Network, while maintaining an understanding of what is involved in patient care.
In 2014, HackensackUMC’s Legal Department was named Best In-House Legal Department of the Year by New Jersey Law Journal, a further demonstration of Ms. Murphy’s leadership. She has been part of the HackensackUMC team since 1992 and has been in her current position since 2010.
