More than 100 families who won the battle against pediatric cancer celebrated their survivorship at the John Theurer Cancer Center at HackensackUMC. The Children’s Cancer Institute held the first annual Childhood Cancer Survivorship Celebration for Cure and Beyond patients. The event, which was sponsored by The Tomorrows Children’s Fund, honored pediatric patients who have remained in remission for two years or more after completing treatment for cancer. The celebration for patients and their families included food, music and entertainment. The CAB program is dedicated to helping patients who have undergone cancer treatment to adjust to life after being cured.
