HackensackUMC Achieves CEO Cancer Gold Standard Accreditation

A leader in the area of workplace wellness, HackensackUMC has been recognized as aCEO Cancer Gold Standard™ employer for 2014. The medical center has once again met each requirement of the workplace wellness program, reaffirming its commitment and dedication to the health and well-being of its employees and their families.
“We are proud to once again achieve the CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ accreditation,” said Robert C. Garrett, president and chief executive officer of the Hackensack University Health Network. “This significant recognition is a clear reflection of our proactive approach to health and wellness.”
The CEO Cancer Gold Standard™promotes healthy lifestyle choices, encourages early detection through cancer screenings, and ensures access to quality treatment. The focus is on five key areas: prevention, screening, cancer clinical trials, quality treatment and survivorship, and health education and health promotion. While it is an individual responsibility to manage one’s health, HackensackUMC was recognized for partnering with employees to provide specific tools and set them up for success.
