HackensackUMC Foundation Welcomes Director of Development Theresa Valentino to the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital

The Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation welcomes Theresa Valentino as director of Development of the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC.

                The Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation is pleased to welcome Theresa Valentino as director of Development of the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital at HackensackUMC. Ms. Valentino will join the HackensackUMC Foundation to raise funds and awareness to support patients and programs at the Children’s Hospital.

                “I am happy to welcome Theresa to our team,” said Jon M. Fitzgerald, executive vice president and chief development officer of the HackensackUMC Foundation. “Her expertise and her caring commitment will make a meaningful difference on behalf of our patients and their families.”

                Ms. Valentino has an extensive background in the field of development. She has implemented and organized a wide variety of projects for healthcare, human services, education, and religious organizations.  She has raised more than $40 million on behalf of several nonprofits, including Chilton Hospital Foundation, Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation and Make-A-Wish Foundation. Prior to joining HackensackUMC, she served as chief development officer at the Somerset County YMCA.

                “I am excited to join the team at HackensackUMC, which is regarded as the pre-eminent provider of healthcare services for children in the state,” said Ms. Valentino. “I am looking forward to sharing patient stories in order to educate potential donors of the true need and demonstrate the impact their generosity will have. Together, we can make a tremendous difference in the lives of children and their families.”
                Ms. Valentino began her work with HackensackUMC on February 15.
