National Wear Red Day 2014

HackensackUMC celebrates National Wear Red Day.

February 7, 2014 is the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day!  HackensackUMC celebrated with an event in the Joseph and Pam Simunovich Palm Court in the Medical Plaza.  Representatives from the Women’s Cardiac Institute, Nutrition and Food Management, Stroke Center and Cardiac Rehabilitation were on hand to provide valuable information to increase awareness of cardiovascular diseases.

Besides taking part in the annual group photo, those who attended the event had access to blood pressure screenings, body fat analysis, nutritional counseling, heart healthy snacks and an opportunity to speak with cardiologists who were on hand to answer questions about heart health. Thanks to all who participated in such an important event, which helps to raise awareness of women’s cardiovascular disease and empowers them to reduce their risk.
