The Betty Torricelli Institute for Breast Care is pleased to extend its world-class services to a new screening location housed in HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Powered by the Giants.
The Betty Torricelli Institute for Breast Care at Hackensack University Medical Center, the leader in breast care in northern New Jersey, is pleased to extend its world-class services to a new screening location housed in HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Powered by the Giants. Located at 87 Route 17 North in Maywood, NJ, the satellite center will exclusively serve those scheduling an annual screening mammogram, offering immediate appointment scheduling with extended and convenient hours, including evenings and weekends.
“We are proud to offer this new screening location as an added convenience for our patients,” said Mark D. Sparta, vice president, clinical services and senior operations officer of HackensackUMC. “We are consistently looking for new ways to provide high-quality care in more locations for our patients. They can schedule their annual mammograms quickly and take advantage of our expanded office hours.”
The Betty Torricelli Institute for Breast Care is proud to offer the latest in digital mammography technology, including 3-D imaging called Tomosynthesis. This revolutionary screening tool can provide a more accurate view of the breast for better detection.
HackensackUMC Fitness & Wellness Powered by the Giants is located less than a mile and a half away from HackensackUMC’s main campus.
Those patients who need diagnostic breast imaging will continue to receive care at the HackensackUMC Medical Plaza, 20 Prospect Avenue, Suite 513 in Hackensack. The team provides diagnostic, screening, educational and support services, and can accommodate male patients with their breast care needs. HackensackUMC’s Breast Program is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers and earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™ for its Breast Cancer Program at the John Theurer Cancer Center.
