News 12 New Jersey: Walk to Remember 2016

October 16, 2016 03:39 PM

HackensackUMC continued its tradition of “walking to remember the steps you’ll never take” during the annual Walk to Remember. The event began with a memorial service, which consisted of songs and readings by parents, families and health care team members. Families also lit candles to honor the memory of babies who have died as a result of pregnancy loss and newborn death. A short walk also took place around the medical center campus to ‘Memorial Hill,’ where families hung wind chimes made out of shells and were invited to plant a flower bulb in remembrance of their loved one.
