HackensackUHN and Meridian Health have completed a merger agreement that will create a health system that will span seven New Jersey counties and will create the largest healthcare system in the state, officials announced Tuesday.
Meridian Health and Hackensack University Health Network have signed the definitive agreement for the two health systems to merge and become Hackensack Meridian Health.
The combined entity, dubbed Hackensack Meridian Health, will have 11 hospitals, 25,000 employees and another 6,000 physicians on staff.
