Bergen County High Schools Rewarded for Seatbelt Usage in 14th Annual High School Traffic Safety Challenge

The Trauma/Surgical Critical Care and Injury Prevention Section of the Department of Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center recently hosted the 14th Annual Spring “High School Traffic Safety Challenge” seatbelt program awards ceremony. Student representatives and teachers from 19 Bergen County high schools attended. This program was developed by the Drive Smart Foundation and funded with a grant from State Farm.

Sanzari Children’s Hospital and John Theurer Cancer Center for performances and a chance to see the fleet of pink emergency vehicles. Pink Heals brings love and support to patients of all ages and their mission is to ease the burden and lighten the spirits of those affected by all types of cancer.

Susan, who was a resident of Saddle River, lost her battle with cervical cancer in July 2011 at the age of 46.​
