The Audiology Department is comprised of pediatric audiologists, who are healthcare providers trained in the hearing sciences. These specialists provide screening, evaluation, and treatment programs for newborns through adulthood. What sets this department apart from many others is its experience in testing difficult-to-test children and its large complement of audiologists. It is one of the region’s largest pediatric audiology departments with 10 audiologists and two audiology residents on staff. This translates into more individualized attention for your child.

For over 35 years the HackensackUMC Audiology Department has set the standard as a provider of comprehensive audiological services.  With a team of doctoral level audiologists, our department addresses the specific needs of each patient and enhances the quality of life for the hearing impaired individual. We are known and respected throughout the region for our diagnostic and rehabilitative expertise with infants and very young children as well as with older children and teenagers.
