The Division of Pediatric Urology at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital provides comprehensive management of medical and surgical conditions of the genitourinary system. Our pediatric urologists are exceptionally well trained and highly experienced in the care and surgical correction of children with problems associated with the urinary tract and genitalia.

Advanced Fetal Care
Our prenatal services specialize in treating mothers and infants with urological conditions that are diagnosed before birth.  Faculty from the Maternal Fetal Medicine & Surgery at Donna A. Sanzari Women’s Hospital, in collaboration with pediatric medical and surgical specialists provide a full scope of diagnostic and treatment services to fetuses and mothers with high-risk pregnancies.
Comprehensive Kidney Stone Program
Both pediatric urologists and pediatric nephrologists care for children with kidney stones.  Pediatric urologists treat kidney stones, while pediatric nephrologists help prevent the formation of stones.  The Comprehensive Stone Program at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital provides a one-stop shop for children and family to meet with the specialists.  For those children who require treatment, we offer the leading-edge technology and techniques for kidney stone removal.  The minimally invasive techniques and technology allow procedures to be performed faster, with less pain, and quicker recovery time.
Robotic and Laparoscopic Surgery
Our surgeons perform minimally invasive approaches including laparoscopic and robotic surgery to treat the various urological conditions.  Our unique combination of experience and advanced technology will allow for the children to receive the best surgery, with smaller scars and faster healing.
Children’s Continence Center
Urinary incontinence can be emotionally stressful and can even lead to social exclusion.  Our Continence Center offers comprehensive treatment program for voiding dysfunction, including nocturnal enuresis (bed wetting), urinary urgency and incontinence.
Disorders of Sexual Development
A team of pediatric urologists, surgeons, endocrinologists, neonatologists, nurses, and support staff provide specialized care for disorders of sexual differentiation.  Our team of experts with extensive combined experience work together to coordinate medical, surgical, and psychological care for each child and family.
