About the Sleep Center

The Institute for Sleep/Wake Disorders (ISWD) at HackensackUMC was established in the year 1992 and today is one of the largest in the tri-state area. The institute has been accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine since 1994.

We are proud to be one of the few facilities which provide training for future sleep medicine specialists and technologists.

ISWD is staffed by physicians who are board certified in sleep medicine, PhD in sleep disorders, experienced board registered sleep technologists and support staff providing highest level patient care for sleep disorders.

As a multidisciplinary facility the experience and services available at ISWD includes treatment of full spectrum of adult and pediatric sleep disorders as well a research, preventive and public education.

The center provides crucial services for all the sleep disorders.
