The Center for Healthy Senior Livingis a walk-in center for the diagnosis and management Focusing on health maintenance and screening with an individual care plan for the patients.. The center is a recognized Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) practice.
MEET OUR GERIATRICIANS
Medical Director and Chief of Geriatrics
LISA TANK, M.D., is the chief of the Division of Geriatrics and Director of Medical Affairs, Office of Medical Affairs.
Dr. Tank obtained her medical degree at Shah Medical College in Jamnagar, India. She went on to complete her residency in Internal Medicine at New York Methodist in Brooklyn and her Fellowship in Geriatrics at HackensackUMC. She has been at HackensackUMC since 2002 where she is Chief of the Division of Geriatrics as well as Program Director of the Geriatrics Fellowship Program. Dr. Tank has served on numerous committees at the medical center, and is currently the Treasurer of the Hackensack Physician Alliance and is a Member-at-Large of the Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Tank is involved in yearly on-going research projects in the field of geriatrics and has been working on the integration of geriatrics throughout the hospital with other specialties. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She belongs to various professional societies including the American Geriatrics Society, American Medical Association, American Academy of Homecare Physicians, and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Tank is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School.
MANISHA PARULEKAR,M.D.,is board-certified in geriatrics, internal medicine, and palliative and hospice medicine. Dr. Parulekar completed her geriatrics fellowship training at Hackensack University Medical Center and the UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School and completed a residency in internal medicine at New York Methodist Hospital, Cornell University in New York City. In addition to her experience in geriatrics, Dr. Parulekar completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology in India. Prior to entering her internal medicine residency, she was a research assistant at The Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard University in Boston and St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Dr. Parulekar is Associate Program Director of the Geriatrics Fellowship Program.
ARUNIMA SARKAR, M.D., is board-certified in geriatrics, internal medicine, and palliative and hospice medicine. Dr. Sarkar completed her geriatric fellowship training at New York University (NYU), in New York City and completed a residency in internal medicine at Jamaica Hospital & Medical Center, in New York. Prior to entering her internal medicine residency, she was a clinical research assistant in Endocrinology at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey.
MARGARET FLEMING- KEANE, APN comes to our division from the HackensackUMC Emergency Trauma Department. Margaret received her nursing degrees from Felician College, NJ and continued on to obtain her Master’s degree in nursing from St. Peter’s College, NJ. She is a Certified Advanced Practice Nurse. She has worked as a nurse in the school system and in various capacities in home care as supervisor, coordinator and staff nurse in the hospital setting. Prior to that she worked in the financial sector.
