Just as a birth doula brings greater comfort and meaning to the process of labor, Hackensack University medical Center palliative and end-of-life doulas will do the same for a patients and their loved ones who are experiencing serious illness, including during their active dying process.
Our doulas are specialty trained volunteers who support life and provide compassionate presence when patients and families need it most. Our doulas are passionate about supporting patients and families through this sacred journey by affirming life.
