Department of Surgery
The Department of Surgery consists of 41 Board Certified members, representing all the specialties in surgery. Hackensack University Medical Centers’s Department of Surgery is an integrated member of the UMDNJ surgical residency program and maintains the highest general surgery caseload in the State of New Jersey. In 2010 a total of 8,868 surgeries were performed by our Surgeons.
