Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, New Jersey Affiliate Selects Rosario Ligresti, M.D. to Serve as Co-Chair of PurpleStride New Jersey

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, New Jersey Affiliate has nominated Rosario Ligresti, M.D., FASGE, chief, Division of Gastroenterology and director, Pancreas Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, a member of Hackensack Meridian Health, to serve as honorary co-chair of PurpleStride New Jersey held on November 13, 2016 at the Mack-Cali Business Campus in Parsippany.
“Congratulations to Roy on this wonderful honor. His nomination is a testament to his hard work and dedication to Pancreatic Cancer throughout the years,” said Ihor Sawczuk, M.D., president, HackensackUMC.
“The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is dedicated to advance research, support patients and create hope for those affected by pancreatic cancer. I’m proud and honored to be named Honorary Co-Chair of this year’s PurpleStride event,” said Dr.Ligresti.
PurpleStride New Jersey unites the community in raising awareness and support for the fight against pancreatic cancer. Last year’s PurpleStride raised more than $460,000 and united 2,565 participants for a day of inspiration and hope. Run entirely by volunteers, all funds raised go directly to further the mission to advance research, support patients and create hope for the pancreatic cancer community.
