During the visit, the group sang patriotic songs as they made their rounds and distributed treats and goodies along with coloring books and crayons to patients at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. In addition, the group visited patients in the elder care unit, where they distributed crossword puzzle books. According to healthcare team members, the visits make quite an impression on the patients and help to lift spirits. The team looks forward to the visits as well. Mrs. Sorce and friends visit HackensackUMC several times a year to commemorate special occasions, including the Fourth of July.
