Hackensack University Health Network is pleased to announce that its president and CEO, Robert C. Garrett, has been named in the 2015 edition of "130 Nonprofit Hospital and Health System CEOs to Know," by Becker's Hospital Review.  The list has been published every year since 2012, and this is the third time it has included 130 leaders. Garrett has been named every consecutive year since the list’s inception.

“Bob Garrett has remained a visionary force for both Hackensack University Health Network and HackensackUMC,” said Joseph Simunovich, chairman, Hackensack University Health Network Board of Trustees. “His leadership has propelled our Network to become one of the most innovative health systems in the country, with numerous accomplishments and unprecedented growth.”

According to Becker’s Hospital Review, the list features some of the most impressive presidents and CEOs in healthcare's nonprofit sector. The men and women on this list lead some of the largest, most successful and prominent nonprofit healthcare organizations in the country. They have overseen financial turnarounds, shown commitment to their community through memberships and governance involvement with various organizations, and helped advance the healthcare industry as a whole through their advocacy and professional efforts. Leaders were selected for this list based on editorial judgment and discretion. Nominations were also considered when making selections for this list.

“The entire team congratulates Bob Garrett on receiving this recognition,” said Lawrence Inserra Jr., chairman, HackensackUMC Board of Governors. “We are proud to have a leader of his stature at the helm of our Network and medical center.”
