On December 18, 2014 Rosemarie “Ro” Sorce, an enthusiastic and devoted member of the Hackensack University Medical Center Board of Governors and Foundation Board of Trustees, along with Santa Claus and some of his elves visited patients at Hackensack University Medical Center to spread holiday cheer.
The group treated the children and their families to holiday carols and hugs. During the visit, they carried baskets filled with gifts, including coloring books, crayons, cross word puzzle books and ornaments, which they distributed to pediatric patients at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. The group also visited geriatric patients in the elder care unit and outpatients in the John Theurer Cancer Center. The group visits HackensackUMC several times a year to commemorate special occasions, including Christmas.
