The Spirit of Halloween Comes to HackensackUMC in 2015

October 30, 2015 10:26 AM
Jendry Cruz, age seven, of Kearny, was excited to be visited by a group of Halloween spooks at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital.

On October 28, HackensackUMC Board of Governors and HackensackUMC Foundation Board of Trustees member, Rosemarie “Ro” Sorce, and a group of friends dressed in their Halloween best, visited patients at their bedside to celebrate the season.  The group, disguised as witches, Elsa, Olaf, Captain America and a Minion, carried baskets filled with goodies, including coloring books and crayons, to distribute to pediatric patients at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. They also visited patients in the elder care unit of HackensackUMC and patients at the John Theurer Cancer Center, entertaining the patients and their families with songs and great conversation. The group visits HackensackUMC several times a year to commemorate special occasions.
