WMBC: Heart Health Month .

February 7, 2014 02:48 PM

February is heart health month. On February 7, HackensackUMC celebrated the American Heart Association's Wear Red Day with a health screening event to provide valuable information to increase awareness of cardiovascular diseases.
Heart disease is the number one killer of women in America. Every year, heart disease kills more women than all forms of cancer combined. The Heart & Vascular Hospital at HackensackUMC created the Women's Cardiac Institute to meet these unique needs and help improve the overall health of women today.
