Groundbreaking Kids Cancer Treatment in Hackensack, NJ

Tackle Kids Cancer, a philanthropic program benefitting the Children’s Cancer Institute at the Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, celebrated the national day of philanthropy, on November 28, also known as Giving Tuesday, with a special event for team members and visitors. NY Giants Legends OJ Anderson and Sean Landeta signed autographs and took photos with team members and visitors, all to raise funds for Tackle Kids Cancer, a partnership of dedicated clinicians, researchers, corporate sponsors and supporters raising money for pediatric cancer research at the Children’s Cancer Institute. The initiative will also support a groundbreaking pediatric oncology immunotherapy program, provided in collaboration with Novartis Pharmaceuticals. Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital will be the only hospital in New Jersey offering the Novartis CAR-T Cell therapy. The first CAR-T Cell therapy, Kymriah, was recently approved by the FDA to treat children and young adults who have a challenging form of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
