The Army gets SMART at Hackensack University Hospital

The Assistant Surgeon General for Mobilization, Readiness and National Guard Affairs recently attended the SMART (Strategic Medical Asset Readiness Training) Partnership at the Hackensack University Medical Center to visit and speak on behalf of the Office of the Army Surgeon General. Brig. Gen. Carl Reese, assistant surgeon general for Mobilization, Readiness, and National Guard Affairs, met with Ihor Sawczuk, M.D., president of the medical center and other team members along with the 15 service members who were receiving training. The service members included six Coast Guard, two Air Force and seven Army Soldiers.
