Stem Cell Transplantation Viable Option in Geriatric Patients With Myeloma

Patients with multiple myeloma who are older than 75 years could be viable candidates for autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT). A recent study of 604 patients with multiple myeloma who received ASCT at the John Theurer Cancer Center examined the overall survival and progression-free survival rates in that population.
