Friends of Hackensack University Medical Center

The Friends of Hackensack University Medical Center recently held its sixth annual Breakthroughs in Medicine Lecture at Indian Trail Club featuring “The Revolution in Heart & Vascular Disease: Innovative Management & Technologies.” Mark D. Sparta, FACHE, president of Hackensack University Medical Center and executive vice president of Population Health of Hackensack Meridian Health, provided informative updates on medical center news, followed by fascinating talks by Joseph E. Parrillo, M.D., Justice Marie L. Garibaldi Endowed Chair and chair of the Heart and Vascular Hospital and founding chair and professor of cardiology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall University; along with Mark B. Anderson, M.D., M.S., FACS, director of the Division of Cardiac Surgery and vice chair of Cardiac Surgery Services at the Heart & Vascular Hospital and George P. Batsides, M.D., FACC, chief of Cardiac Surgery and surgical director of Mechanical Circulatory Support at the Heart & Vascular Hospital.
