Staying safe in the dangerous cold

Kevin Hewitt, M.D., vice chair of Emergency Services at Hackensack University Medical Center, was interviewed by reporter, Pat Battle, regarding the health risks associated with extreme temperatures.   According to Dr. Hewitt, frostbite can set in very quickly on any part of the body, especially on the fingers and toes. Another concern is hypothermia, which can be deadly.
