During this time – A Message from Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation
It’s clear the world is facing an unprecedented challenge with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Like you, we are deeply concerned and want to help keep our communities safe. It is at difficult times such as this that we see the best in people. To that end, I want to express my personal thanks to all of you, especially our clinical teams on the frontlines of the COVID-19 response. Through your continued support, Hackensack Meridian Health and Hackensack University Medical Center were able to respond quickly, efficiently and effectively to the growing needs of our communities and families.
Your health and safety are the most important things right now and we are here for you. At the bottom of this message are some helpful COVID-19 resources and links.
We want to take this opportunity to formally announce that we are suspending all events through the end of May. We know this decision affects many of our supporters, but it is also a necessary measure. Our teams are constantly monitoring the situation and will update everyone regularly via email and on our website.
Innovation is part of our DNA. We are especially proud of the role that our Center for Discovery and Innovation (CDI) has taken in the development of the new rapid diagnostic test for COVID-19 that reduces processing time from days to hours. Read more about their work here. This critical advance benefits everyone and will better control the spread of the disease. Hackensack Meridian Health is one of the few hospital systems in the country with this capability and it is a direct result of the investments we have made in research and innovation.
You can have a direct impact in our continued work. Join us in support of our efforts today.
Advances and breakthroughs at Hackensack University Medical Center, the Center for Discovery and Innovation and all of HMH are made possible through your outstanding philanthropic efforts. So, we are pledging to continue this work and our mission in the coming weeks, months and years, and advance the frontiers of patient care, research, education and clinical treatments.
Please keep yourself, your family and your friends safe and healthy in the coming days. At the bottom of the email is a helpful list of links and resources. As always, feel free to reach out to our team with any immediate questions and we will be in touch.
