Dr. Yong Zhao

Over 10 years ago at the University of Illinois, Yong Zhao, M.D., Ph.D. discovered a new type of stem cell that had the amazing ability to impact damaged cells in the body, signaling great potential in the treatment for diabetes and other autoimmune conditions such as alopecia, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis. Following this discovery, Dr. Zhao developed and patented the Stem Cell Educator. The Stem Cell Educator serves as the “classroom” where a patient’s damaged immune cells are “educated” by stem cells from the cord blood of a healthy donor to create insulin, restoring autoimmunity.
