Third Annual NICUSTRONG WALK hosted by the NICUSTRONG Committee will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2020. As we navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s walk has moved to a virtual platform. Funding continues to support innovative treatment, cutting-edge equipment, research and support for our patients and families of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hackensack Meridian Joseph M. 23rd Annual Golf Outing

On June 9 the Genetics Department at Hackensack University Medical Center hosted its third Fun Walk/Run at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park, NJ. The event benefitted the patients and families under the care of Genetic Services and provided resources for them in situations where there are financial and insurance limitations. Thank you for helping make this event a success.
Inaugural Springtime in Paris
Hackensack Meridian Health Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation raised nearly $500,000 to benefit Hackensack Meridian Health John Thereur Cancer Center at its inaugural Springtime in Paris Gala. The Gala was held on Friday, May 10 at Carnegie Hall in New York City. “This event came on the heels of the recent news that the National Cancer Institute has approved John Theurer Cancer Center as a research consortium member of the NCI-approved Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center Consortium. This will further position John Theurer Cancer Center as a leader in cancer care” says Robert C. Garrett, CEO of Hackensack Meridian Health.
The event was held on November 13 at Edgewood Country Club with over 150 people in attendance. Dr. Mutahar Ahmed, Dr. Ravi Munver, Dr. David Shin and Dr. Michael Stifelman presented about the advances in urology, and how philanthropic support brings life saving innovations to Hackensack University Medical Center. Harry Carson, former player for the NY Giants was the keynote speaker.
Fashion for Philanthropy
The Shops at Riverside hosted the 3rd annual Fashion For Philanthropy event. For the 2nd year in a row it benefitted John Theurer Cancer Center. There was a great turnout of more than 150 people.

Tackle Kids Cancer Holiday Raffle

Dance Into Ro's World
Dance Into Ro’s World, an event honoring dedicated board leader and extraordinary volunteer Rosemarie, “Ro” J. Sorce, was recently held to support development of the Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Brain Health and Dementia. Approximately 300 guests gathered for an evening of dining and dancing where Ro was recognized for her generosity and steadfast commitment to Hackensack University Medical Center and Hackensack Meridian Health. The event raised $200,00 in support of this initiative. The Hackensack Meridian Health Center for Brain Health and Dementia, a multidisciplinary and fully integrated center, will be on the forefront of clinical care and research of Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of dementia.
The inaugural NICU STRONG Walk held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Van Saun Park raised over $110,000 with over 650 people in attendance. The NICU STRONG Walk was hosted by the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Family Advisory Council, along with Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation. Funds raised support the vital equipment and patient and family needs of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hackensack Meridian Health Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital.
Tackle Kids Cancer entered its third year as the Official Charity of THE NORTHERN TRUST. Thank you to all of those that supported Birdies to Benefit and visited our booth at the event.
The 2nd Annual Summer Samba event was held on August 8 at San Cubano Restaurant & Bar and benefitted Tackle Kids Cancer. Over 300 guests enjoyed festive food, drinks and music.
The Ridgewood Country Club hosted Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation's 21st Golf Outing on June 25. More than 300 golfers participated in this worth event.
