Terri Freguletti, MAS, RN, CNOR, Vice President, Perioperative Services
Terri Freguletti, Vice President Perioperative Services and Capacity Management leads a perioperative team nationally recognized by the Competency & Credentialing Institute as CNOR Strong facility. This recognizes the high percentage of certified nurses and advancing a culture of patient safety. Ms. Freguletti is accountable for over $115 million in yearly operational budget, strategic and capital planning, and is responsible for over 600 employees.
Ms. Freguletti started her career at Hackensack University Medical Center in the Perioperative Services department and has been in Perioperative Management since 1992. Her major accomplishments include the support of construction and implementation of the Center for Ambulatory Surgery in 1998. The addition of six specialty specific, high-tech Inpatient Operating Rooms, and the Pediatric Operating Room Suite in 2007. She also led the Heart and Vascular Hospital project which included Cath Labs, EP labs and a Neuro-interventional Bi-Plane Lab in 2010. In 2012, she led the project to construct a Hybrid Operating Room. As a result of her leadership, Hackensack University Medical Center was second in the state to perform TAVR and first in the state to perform an apical approach TAVR. Hackensack University Medical Center has the largest surgical volume in the State of New Jersey, and has been consistently named to HealthGrades® One of America’s 50 Best Hospitals List. Hackensack University Medical Center is a member of the ACS NSQIP data base for national surgical quality outcomes and is ranked “exemplary” in quality results. The Center for Ambulatory Surgery has enjoyed the highest mean score in the hospital for patient satisfaction since 1998. Ambulatory Surgery is also a multiple year winner of the JD Power award for excellence.
Ms. Freguletti is reducing Emergency and Trauma Center divert, increasing bed availability and decreasing patient CMI Adjusted length of stay through her hands-on collaborative leadership style. Terri believes teamwork is the answer to success in today’s healthcare environment.
Terri graduated St. Peter’s University Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and is Nationally Certified in Operating Room Nursing. Ms. Freguletti was also a recipient of the Bergen County Tribute to Women in INdustry Award (TWIN) in 2005. She has presented nationally on perioperative and patient satisfaction topics.
