Counseling Sessions

Your counseling psychologist may recommend individual, family or group sessions using therapeutic techniques such as:

  • Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT will help you recognize and change unhelpful thought or behavior patterns and beliefs so you can more effectively cope with your condition.
  • Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). DBT is a type of CBT that will provide you with strategies for managing distress, regulating emotions, and listening and communicating more effectively.
