Ramonita Jimenez, DNP, MPA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, Administrator, Patient Care Services; Inpatient Surgical & Medical Units; Pastoral Care Services; Float Pool, Staffing Office, and Alternate Care Sites
Dr. Ramonita Jimenez is responsible for the overall nursing scope of practice and services, the nursing resource center, oversight of administrative supervisors, the surgical and medical inpatient units, and Pastoral Care Services. Dr. Jimenez holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Rutgers’s University, a master’s degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University, and a Doctoral degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) College of Nursing.
Dr. Jimenez has led and actively participated in several initiatives including Magnet re-designation and collaboration with nurse leaders to ensure hospital compliance with Joint Commission standards for inpatient units. She successfully led the Graduate Nurse Program on a medical surgical unit which later expanded to a second dedicated education unit. Dr. Jimenez is the senior leader mentoring the nurse managers pursuing the Nurse Manager Excellence Program. In addition, she actively mentors masters and doctoral students. Dr. Jimenez partnered on pilot programs involving Service Excellence, Service Recovery and an employee point reward system. She is Talent Plus certified.
Board-certified in Nursing Administration and a member of the New Jersey Organization of Nurse Executives, and serves on the Organization of Nurse Leaders-New Jersey Finance Committee since 2016. She currently serves as a nursing advisory board member at Felician University. Dr. Jimenez is actively involved in community service and volunteers in her church as a small group facilitator and preschool teacher. She has participated in medical missions and humanitarian work in Mexico and Panama. Dr. Jimenez is a two-time recipient of the Michael W. Azzara Scholarship (2005 and 2009). She was honored to receive the Tribute to Women & Industry (TWIN) Award, presented by the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) of Bergen County. In 2014, Dr. Jimenez was recognized by the Institute for Nursing with the Don & Diva Award. She has also been recognized as a Most Valuable Team Member for reflecting the vision, value and mission of Hackensack University Medical Center and is a two-time recipient of the Hackensack University Medical Center Helmsman Award for demonstrated leadership ability. In 2015, Dr. Jimenez received the Divisional Leadership Award presented by the ONL-NJ. Dr. Jimenez was presented with the Impact Award (December 2018) as part of her work and commitment to advance the financial viability of ONL-NJ. The ONL provides mentorship, education and research programs and advocates on behalf of the nursing profession.
