Some people will require coronary artery bypass graft surgery, which may clear the blockage. Another option for some people is percutaneous (through the skin) intervention. With this innovative technique, interventional cardiologists gently steer special guide wires and catheters through blockages. If you have been diagnosed with CTO, your doctor will discuss treatment options with you based on your individual case.
