The Jeffrey M. Creamer Trauma Center at Hackensack University Medical Center is designated as a Level II Trauma Center by the State of New Jersey and the American College of Surgeons. The Neurosurgery Division of Trauma/Critical Care provides care to the critically injured patient who suffers brain or spinal trauma.
This dedicated team is led by Dr. Hooman Azmi, Chief of Neurosurgery-Trauma/Critical Care and Dr. John Locurto, Chief of Trauma/Surgical Critical Care and Injury Prevention. Care is coordinated through a multidisciplinary physician team of critical care intensivists, trauma surgeons, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic surgeons. Additionally, this team is comprised of mid-level providers (Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Nurses), trauma trained nurses, and rehabilitation specialists.
We have a 24 hour operational Helipad and dedicated helicopter to avail access to the hospital for direct field transports. Through the use of advanced technology, Intensive Care Units, specialized personnel, and collaboration, we are able to provide our patients with the highest quality of care.
Home health care is often appropriate for elderly patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), COPD, diabetes, orthopedic recovery, stroke, chronic kidney disease, wound care, dementia and behavioral health needs.
