Our doulas are specialty trained volunteers who support life and provide compassionate presence when patients and families need it most. Our doulas are passionate about supporting patients and families through this sacred journey by affirming life.
Bereavement is the state of loss when someone close to you has died and grief is a normal, healthy response to loss. Everyone feels grief in his or her own way and people’s responses to grief will vary. People working through the grieving process may find it useful to use coping strategies to help come to terms with loss.
Social workers help families navigate the health care system and provide crisis intervention services. Among the many critical functions they serve, social workers coordinate services for families between their medical care team and the home environment.
