Patient Population
Within the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department the occupational therapists treat patients with a variety of diagnoses and assist those recovering from:
• Hand injuries • Head trauma • Burns • Amputations • Stroke • Joint replacements • Work-related injuries • Arthritis • Parkinson’s disease • Multiple sclerosis • Congenital or acquired disease • Deformities of the hand or upper extremity • Acute and post-acute injuries • Multiple traumas • Injuries resulting from automobile accidents
