Robotic Colorectal Surgery

Hackensack University Medical Center is the first hospital in the northeastern United States to acquire the cutting-edge da Vinci Xi® Surgical System.

Minimally Invasive Surgery Trailblazers

Our surgeons perform several types of minimally invasive surgery using the da Vinci Xi® Surgical System, including colectomy, rectal resection and tumor removal. The da Vinci Xi® Surgical System includes four robotic arms that can rotate to practically any position. In addition to being able to assist with delicate colorectal surgical procedures, the system’s instruments provide the ease-of-movement and advanced visibility of traditional open surgery using the small incisions of minimally invasive surgery.
